How my journey began
Growing up, I always saw myself as a teacher. I wanted to be someone that is always working with others, instilling a certain confidence with in them. After going to college, I quickly learned that the education path wasn’t for me, however, I knew I still wanted that feeling of working with others. I sat down and had a long heart to heart with myself and started thinking about what actually brought me joy in life. Pretty quickly I realized it was art. I switched my major and tried all different versions of it. From ceramics to wood working, oil painting to print making, I knew I was headed to the right direction. I took my first photgraphy class and I was hooked. I loved working on different projects and knowing that I could create whatever I set my mind to. Then life got pretty generic after I graduated. I got a bartending job to save money and I put photgraphy on hold for a little while. I got a coaching job and again fell in love with it. I learned a lot about myself, mostly how transparency is a huge value to me. I then had customers from my job asking if I did family photos, I put myself out there and started small. I knew I wanted to do this full time but I was scared, What if it didn’t work? What if I was charging to much? What if I wasn’t charging enough? I then realized that I was doing what I loved for people that trusted me. Then came my main mission. Provide incredible photographs for anyone that came looking. For me, it’s never been about the money, it’s been about connecting with people and creating a lasting memory. I want everyone to be able to have professional photos of themselves and not feel like they’re breaking the bank to get them. Transparency is a core value of mine. What you book is what you get, I have no hidden agenda. Why complicate it? Portraits should be easy.
